Objective: 

Course objectives:

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Describe properties of water, acid-base nature and types of chemical bonds.
  2. Describe Structure, classification and cellular metabolic pathways of carbohydrate and lipids.
  3. Describe the principles of bioenergetics and enzyme catalysis along with factors affecting enzyme activity.
  4. Build on their knowledge and understanding about Inborn errors of carbohydrate metabolism, lipid metabolism vitamin deficiency diseases.

Vitamins: Occurrence, Function, Requirement, Deficiency diseases
