Visit to Kewalramani Hatcheries in Ajmer on 2 Feb 2015

On 2^nd Feb. 2015, our department visited Kewalramani Hatcheries in Ajmer, Rajasthan.  Kewalramani hatcheries deals with the business of producing and selling day old layer and broiler chicks and also fresh table eggs since the past thirty years. They have the capacity to supply 3 million table eggs a month.

Students were shown movable incubators where the fertilised eggs are kept and the incubators where the eggs hatch.  Incubator has the capacity of holding 30,000 eggs, which are continuously turning at an angle and eggs are kept straight in such a way that their broad end is towards lower side and narrow end at the upper side.

Overall it was a great experience to see this kind of setup in India. We thanked Kewalramani sir for the visit.
