On 14th August 2016 to commemorate International Organ donation Day, a guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Anita Hada on awareness about organ donation. Human organ transplantation is one of the most remarkable successes in the history of medicine. It is often the only hope for people suffering from organ failure. Dr. Anita Hada emphasized on Human Organ Transplantation Act (HOTA) in India which allows for the kidneys, heart, liver and corneas to be removed, for the purpose of transplantation, in the event of death from any cause. After the guest lecture, BSc (H) Sem V students conducted a quiz and slogan writing competition on the facts of organ donation in which all BSc undergraduate students participated. By this event students learnt about the importance of organ donation and saving others life. It was good moral awareness lecture for mankind.
