Objective: 
This course will enable the students to
 
1. Distinguish fundamental concepts in ethology/animal behaviour, with an emphasis on  how theories on the evolution of behaviour can be put to a test empirically and general  adaptation of birds and animals 
2. Illustrate adaptive features, serial homology, analogy and homology 
3. Devising methods for analysis of water and soil quality 
4. Manage to calculate leaf area index and dust holding capacity 
5. To analyze the behaviour of selected birds and animals

The students will

CO-73 Develop a basic knowledge of animal behaviour  and their evolutionary patterns.  CO-74 Design and conduct  experiments on animal behaviour.

CO-75 Develop knowledge about behavioural data collection and experimental  design, including welfare and  ethical implications.

CO-76 Critically analyzes  ecological aspects and 

quantification of different water  and soil samples.
