This course will enable the students to –

  1. Understand the structures and purposes of basic components of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, especially macromolecules, membranes, and organelles.
  2. Description of the function, composition and properties of the plasma membrane.
  3. Understand the principles of the cell theory, the importance of the nucleus and its components.
  4. Knowledge about the process of cell division and its regulatory checkpoints.
  5. Familiarity about cell’s cytoskeleton and how they affect cell shape, function, and movement.
