CELL BIOLOGY

THEORY

CO:85 Explore cellular diversity, including prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, viruses, viroids, mycoplasma, and prions, alongside various models of plasma membrane structure and transport mechanisms.

CO:86 Investigate cell junctions like desmosomes and gap junctions, and examine the endomembrane system, focusing on organelles such as the endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and peroxisomes.

CO:87 Analyze mitochondria structure and function, emphsizing the mitochondrial respiratory chain and cytoskeleton components like microtubules, microfilaments, and intermediate filaments.

CO:88 Examine nucleus structure, chromatin organization, and nucleosome packaging, elucidating the nuclear envelope, nuclear pore complex, and nucleolus.

CO:89 Study cell division processes like mitosis and meiosis, and explore cell signaling mechanisms such as GPCR signaling and the involvement of second messengers like cAMP.

CO:90 Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
