Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Analyse the fundamental molecular tools and their applications
  2. Appraise strategies of genetic engineering for possible applications in the Biotechnology and allied industry.
  3. Envisages concepts, mechanisms, biological designs, functions, and evolutionary significance of genetic modification or manipulation in special organisms and also discusses the recent advance in recombinant DNA technology.
