Objective: 

Course objectives:

This course will enable the students to –

 

  1. Examine the properties of water, acid-base nature and types of chemical bonds.
  2. Discriminate the structure, classification and cellular metabolic pathways of carbohydrate and lipids.
  3. Judge the principles of bioenergetics and enzyme catalysis along with factors affecting enzyme activity.
  4. Build on their knowledge and understanding about Inborn errors of carbohydrate metabolism, lipid metabolism vitamin deficiency diseases.
