Objective: 

OBJECTIVES-

The course objectives to provide students with a basic understanding of:

  1. structural and classification of protein and protein denaturation
  2. Protein and nucleic acid metabolism and their metabolic disorders
  3. Understand  the Bioenergetics of cell
  4. Mineral metabolism in cell.

 

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

 

  1. Identify the structural elements of proteins, the basic features of enzyme catalysis and regulation
  2. describe role of protein and nucleic acids in metabolic processes.
  3. Bioenergetics and law of Thermodynamics involved in biological processes.
  4. Role of minerals in metabolism.
