Objective: 

Course objectives:

This course will enable the students to -

1.  Identify the animals of different phyla based on their characteristic features.

2.  Learn detailed knowledge of life histology of various organisms.

3. Differentiate between poisonous and non-poisonous snakes

Animal Diversity PRACTICAL

CO7: Identify the specimens from                  protists                  to echinodermata based on their external features

CO8:    Develop    a skill          to identify                 specimens              from protochordates to mammals.

CO9:         Examine                  the permanent slides to study the internal features and Identify the various stages of Taenia CO10:                 Create      an            animal album on assigned topic and practical    record containing photographs,            cutouts                 of animals related to different taxa.

CO11: Judge their knowledge by facing the expert panel during viva voce assessment and present their knowledge and skills to solve the problems in the most efficient way.

CO12: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

An “animal album” containing photographs, cut outs, with appropriate write up about the above mentioned taxa. Different taxa/ topics may be given to different sets of students for this purpose.
