Objective: 

Course objectives:

This course will enable the students to

1. Develop an understanding of the diversity in the animal kingdom.

2. Analyze the role of taxonomy and systematic in animal studies.

3. Imbibe the knowledge about the characteristics common to all living organisms and also will be able to distinguish characteristics unique to animals belonging to different taxonomic hierarchy.

4. Compare the origin and evolutionary relationship of different phylum from Protists to vertebrates.
